Bio For ten years, ballet was just part of my life, not something I did, but something I was. The satin shoes, the early morning practices, the cracked toes… it sounds dramatic, but it felt like magic. That feeling when the music swells and your body just knows what to do, like flying, almost. But now I study finance at university. Which is probably the furthest thing from dancing, if you think about it. Numbers, deadlines, logic. I don’t hate it; I actually like it. There’s something satisfying about solving problems that have one clean, right answer. Still, with classes and work, I don’t really have time to dance anymore. I tell myself I’ll go back to it when I “have time.” Who knows when that’ll be. What I do squeeze in time for is reading. Always. Even if it’s just ten minutes on the train, or at night when I should be sleeping. Politics, mostly. I can spend hours going down rabbit holes. I like knowing how things work, how people think, what’s going on behind all the polished speeches. And then there’s the geek stuff. I know, kind of random. But my used to be friend builds custom PCs, and when we were younger, I used to sit in his room after school. I’d do my homework on the floor while he worked, and he’d talk through everything like I was his apprentice. I still remember all those words, overclocking, GPUs, refresh rates, cable management. And weirdly, I understood it. I still do. Sometimes I think I’m made up of all these little pieces that don’t totally fit together. Ballet shoes and high-end motherboards. Political theory and stock market analysis.
